Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about how we raise, cut, and ship your meat. Don't see what you're looking for? Reach out any time.

When will my order ship?

Fresh orders ship every Monday and Tuesday. We hand-cut your order and flash-freeze it at peak freshness, then send it straight from our farm to your door.

How is your meat raised?

On open California pasture — never in feedlots. Our cattle are 100% grass-fed and grass-finished, our heritage Berkshire pork is raised outdoors and finished on barley, and every animal is raised with no hormones and no antibiotics, ever.

Where are you located? Can I visit the farm?

We're at 1503 South Highway 101 in Gaviota, California. Farm visits are by appointment only — get in touch and we'll set up a time. You can also find us in person at farmers' markets around the Central Coast.

Is your meat really raised in California?

Yes. Every animal is born, raised, and butchered right here in California — never imported. We hand-cut every steak and hand-make every sausage in our own on-farm butcher shop.

What do you sell?

Pasture-raised beef, heritage pork, lamb, goat, and poultry, plus farm-fresh eggs and whole roasting pigs. Want to stock the freezer? Ask us about our beef, pork, and goat shares or the Swine Club box.

How should I store my order when it arrives?

Everything ships flash-frozen and packed to stay cold in transit. Keep it in the freezer until you're ready to cook, then thaw it in the refrigerator before cooking.
